The Story of Our Stuff

What's the story of your stuff? Tell us about your antiques, memorabilia and the odd, interesting or truly unique items in your collection and we just may tell the Story of Your Stuff on a future episode of Auction Talk Radio. Email us your story!

More drop-off drama, Frozen O.J., Online sellers and the Tax gap

In this episode:

We continue our ongoing discussion of the troubles brewing for some in the online consignment (or drop-off) store business.

With this year's taxes done (you DID get them done, yes?), we'll tell you why this year could be a more taxing one for online sellers.

The latest development on the Simpson book auction saga is "Frozen O.J."

And what legendary superstar hitmaker had to go to eBay to buy back his own Grammy Award?

All this and more in the extended edition of "Auction Talk Radio"

(P.S.: For Jin in China - this one's for you!)

Hey guys, just a thought or two. First, who gives a damn about the O.J. deal? Everybody at this point is acting shamelessly. Why don't they all just go away?

The drop-off store story is interesting, and what does this mean to folks who might want to sell stuff?

Should we be worried that we'll consign something to one of these stores and maybe never see it again? If something doesn't sell and a store goes belly-up, are we all SOL?

Hey Martin,

Yes even if it does sell you might not see your money. As it seems like we are hearing about one of these drop off stores being closed almost every other day.

Leaving some customers without merchandise or the money for thir sold item. That's part of it but also there's a story as to why these stores are closing, is there something that can be done for those who are still trying to make this work? Stay tuned for more on this issue.

As for the O.J. story well.... Your right it's just lame.. But my partner Chris could not help himself with the frozen oj line on the podcast, But I think I said I wished that this would just go away! What's going on in Oceanside? Are you in the auction business and how did you hear about us?

Looking forward to keeping in touch with you

What happened to the show? We enjoyed hearing a familiar voice from the past [Frank]. We were hoping to off load an old Space Monkey album on eBay and were wondering if there was a market?
